OFFshorts – Young Baltic Cinema

FiSH has been presenting the young film scene of the various Baltic Sea countries since 2005. In 2020, the Northern European short film competition OFFshorts – Young Baltic Cinema for filmmakers up to 26 years of age in the Baltic Sea region developed from this. FiSH cooperates with partner festivals such as the Novemberfestivalen (Sweden), the NextFilmFestival (Denmark) and the Nordic Youth Film Festival NUFF (Norway).

Filmmakers from or in the following OFFshorts countries can submit their films to the festival:

  • Denmark

  • Estonia

  • Finland

  • Latvia

  • Lithuania

  • Norway

  • Poland

  • Sweden

Award Money

Jury

The jury of the OFFshorts – Young Baltic Cinema competition, consisting of three film experts, discusses in public on stage. In the past, these have included Mille Haynes, Katarina Tomkova, Sebastian Apel, Katja Morand and Alison McCloskey.

In addition to directors and actors, the jury also includes experts from the fields of production, editing, festivals, film editors and film critics.
