SEHsterne – Films outside the competition
In cooperation with the Lichtspieltheater Wundervoll, FiSH presents a varied and colourful selection of short and feature-length films that are shown outside of the competitions in the SEHsterne supporting programme.
In the Startrampe FiSH series, we invite filmmakers who have previously been guests at the festival with a short film and are now returning with a larger production to talk about their career. Previous participants include Axel Ranisch with ORPHEA IN LOVE, Sophie Linnenbaum with THE ORDINARIES, Daniel Rakete Siegel with SCHOCK and Robert Gwisdek with DER JUNGE, DEM DIE WELT GEHÖRT. True to the motto: FiSH is where it all begins!

Another highlight is the presentation of the results of the 48-hour film challenge. Participants have 48 hours to make a film on a given topic. The films are supervised in the background by established filmmakers and presented at FiSH.
With this program series, we also offer a platform for the creative potential of the local film scene and focus on filmmaking here in Rostock and the surrounding area. Whether with a showcase that focuses on young up-and-coming filmmakers in the region or the screening of Rostock film gems: we present everything from brand new films to insider tips that have never seen the light of day on the big screen!
