With the “FiSHZug: Kurzfilme aufs Land” project, FiSH brings short films from the current festival edition directly to the rural regions of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In cooperation with various cultural venues in MV, the festival tours selected venues and rural cinemas in the fall. The aim is to promote cultural encounters and facilitate an exchange between filmmakers and the audience.

At each stop, filmmakers accompany the screenings and are available for discussions. Young filmmakers from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in particular present their works and contribute to intercultural dialog. The project is not only intended to stimulate cultural exchange, but also to help strengthen local cultural work and promote the diversity of the region and cooperation with one another.
FiSHZug, like FiSH itself, sees itself as a contribution to strengthening social cohesion and promoting democratic discourse in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
