Changed by you(th): Diversity in film

May 11th | 1.15 pm – 2.00 pm | SCHOLLE

Something is happening in film, filmmakers are calling for equal opportunities and are questioning traditional structures! However, many film sets are still not barrier-free and certain groups, such as people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ people or people of color, are still underrepresented. Yet diversity is the great opportunity to tell stories in a more multi-faceted and authentic way. Many young filmmakers have long recognized that and are telling stories that think outside the box – both in front of and behind the camera. We talk to Aslı, Quynh and Vic about their approach to diversity.
