At 18, Leonie and Marlene are certain that nothing can ever come between them. But when Leonie falls in love with Naomi, she fully surrenders to her first great love and gradually drifts away from her best friend. Naomi’s depressive episodes begin to overwhelm her, and when the relationship falls apart, Leonie realizes how isolated she has become. She leaves Berlin to make sense of the world around her—but even years later, someone is still missing from her life: Marlene.

Lotta Schwerk
Born in 1998, Lotta made her first short film in her early teens. Since 2018, she has been curating and hosting at various film festivals, including the International Youth Media Festival and Interfilm in Berlin. She has also worked as an assistant director on film and television productions since 2019.
At FiSH, her most recent short films—NINJA MOTHERFUCKING DESTRUCTION, WHAT WE KNOW, WHERE TO, and OKAY—were presented.
