Basima Mohammed is a tapestry weaver at the Ramses Wissa Wassef Art Center. The film shows how women who have grown up under difficult circumstances can rise above their challenges. Basima has built her life with her own hands – quite literally – weaving not just tapestries, but also a path toward financial independence, self-worth, and confidence. Her story is a powerful testament to how creative expression can become a means of empowerment and transformation.

Novir is a well-known figure in Leipzig’s drag scene. For her next performance, she wants to prepare something personal. Prompted by her mother’s question of whether she will one day return to her hometown, she begins to confront her upbringing in a small town in Central Saxony.
