OFFshorts – Young Baltic Cinema
Since 2005, FiSH has been showcasing the vibrant young film scene of the Baltic Sea region. Building on this tradition, the OFFshorts – Young Baltic Cinema competition was launched in 2020, providing a platform for filmmakers up to 26 years old from across Northern European countries.
The festival collaborates with renowned partner festivals such as Novemberfestivalen (Sweden), NextFilmFestival (Denmark), and the Nordic Youth Film Festival NUFF (Norway). These international partnerships strengthen exchange, networking, and visibility for emerging talent across the region.
Filmmakers from the following OFFshorts countries are invited to submit their films:

Jury
The jury of the OFFshorts – Young Baltic Cinema competition consists of three experienced film professionals who discuss the films publicly on stage. Past jurors have included Jamila Wenske, Mille Haynes, Bahar Bektaş, Sebastian Apel, Thomas Hailer, Aslı Özarslan, and Alison McCloskey.
In addition to expertise in directing and acting, the panel also includes professionals from production, editing, festival management, film programming, and film criticism. This diversity ensures that films are evaluated from multiple perspectives, providing emerging filmmakers with valuable, constructive feedback.
