Media Literacy Award MV

For strong media education in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Since 2006, the Media Literacy Awards MV have been presented as part of the FiSH Film Festival Rostock in cooperation with the Medienanstalt Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (MMV). The awards honor outstanding projects that implement sustainable and innovative media work with children, young people, or adults, thereby strengthening media literacy in our society.
The focus lies on the educational process: How are participants actively supported in developing media literacy and empowered to engage with media in a self-determined and critical way? The concrete project outcomes play a complementary role in the evaluation.
Eligible for submission are projects from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern that are no more than three years old. Projects from all areas of media work are welcome, and there are no age restrictions for participants. The Media Literacy Awards MV highlight the importance of empowering people of all ages to use media consciously, competently and responsibly – a key foundation for education, participation and social engagement in the digital age.
Two main prizes are awarded: Project of the Year (endowed with €1,500) and Follow-up (Nachgehakt, endowed with €1.500). In addition, two prizes are presented in each of the following categories:
