JUNGER FILM

The JUNGER FILM national short film competition is the heart of the FiSH Film Festival. It showcases current short films by emerging filmmakers up to 26 years old. From around 500 submissions each year, a selection committee selects 20 to 30 outstanding films for the competition program.

The festival’s dynamic atmosphere is shaped by two central formats: filmmaker Q&As on stage provide fascinating insights into the creation of the films, their backgrounds, and artistic decisions. Complementing this are the public jury discussions, where the expert panel evaluates the films live on stage and provides constructive feedback. This combination creates a lively dialogue between films, audiences, and professionals, fostering inspiration, exchange, and support for emerging talent.
