On 25 September 2023, Ramon Gerwien from NDR visited the Institute for New Media. In conversation with Arne Papenhagen, the Institute’s Managing Director, and Borja Garcia, our volunteer from Spain, he talked about various aspects of volunteering in Europe.
The central topic of the interview was Borja’s motives for coming to Rostock. He spoke about his experiences so far, challenges and expectations for the upcoming year.
Another focus of the interview was the essential role of volunteers in cultural institutions. Arne emphasises how they bring fresh perspectives and creative ideas and promote cultural exchange.
