In 2004, a group of young film enthusiasts in Rostock set out to set up a nationwide film festival … with little experience, no money and no cinema. The result is FiSH. Now, 20 festival editions later, Matze (one of the festival founders) and Arne (festival director from 2015-2022) look back and present short films and filmmakers who “made it” to the Berlinale or Cannes, who won prestigious film awards and who are recognized for memorable film moments in 20 years of FiSH history.
