Loitz [lø:ts] is today one of the loser towns of the former GDR. Through the eyes of old and new residents, INFITINE PLACE looks behind the gray façade of a dying small town for a year and questions concepts of home and identity. What makes a life in the dying worthwhile?

Paul Raatz

Paul, born in Stralsund in 1990, is a media designer and has a bachelor’s degree in English, media and communication studies. Alongside his studies, he has directed music videos, commercials, short films and documentaries. VOM STEHEN UND FALLEN received several awards. His documentary UNENDLICHER RAUM was presented at the Max Ophüls Prize in 2024. He is currently working on his feature film debut.
