SEHsterne
Films outside the competition

As part of the SEHsterne cinematic side program, FiSH, in cooperation with the Lichtspieltheater Wundervoll, presents a diverse selection of short and feature films screened outside the official competitions.

In the Startrampe FiSH programme, the festival invites filmmakers who previously showcased a short film at FiSH and are now returning with a larger production. They share insights into their creative journey and their work. Past guests have included Axel Ranisch with ORPHEA IN LOVE, Sophie Linnenbaum with THE ORDINARIES, Max Gleschinski with his POLIZERUF 110, and Robert Gwisdek with DER JUNGE, DEM DIE WELT GEHÖRT. True to the motto: FiSH is where it all begins!

Another highlight is the presentation of the 48-hour film challenge results. Participants have just 48 hours to create a film based on a given theme. They are supported by experienced filmmakers throughout the process, and the finished works are then showcased at FiSH

In addition, the program provides a platform for the creative potential of the local film scene, with a special focus on filmmaking in Rostock and the surrounding area. Whether through a showcase highlighting the region’s emerging talent or screenings of hidden gems from Rostock, the festival presents everything from brand-new films to previously unseen works making their debut on the big screen.
